Mac Standalone OS X Update Installers.
To be able to run FCP 3 on OS X you must be running OS 10.1.1.
To start this upgrade process you need to be running OS 10.1 which is available on CD.
If your Mac is not on line, you'll need to download the 'Standalone' Update Installers and transfer them via Zip or Ethernet to your off line Mac. You must install in the following order.

There is now yet another OS X updater. This one is not required for FCP 3. It's large at 30 megs.

If you are updating from Mac OS X 10.1 or Mac OS X 10.1.1, you need the Mac OS X Update Combo 10.1.3. at 38.4 megs
